Blizzard Background Downloader - Downloading "WoW-1.12.x-2.0.1-enUS-patch"
XMB of 35.8MB
So they're going to be giving us the new 2.0.1 patch through the background downloader in small patches. Good thing too since the PTR patch was around 480MB big.
Anyone remember the sneaky way to get the background downloader over and done with?
BTW there is no patch 1.13. We're going straight to 2.0.1 or WoW 2.00My sanity is not in question...
It was a confirmed casualty some time ago.

It means you get it in chunks rather than having to DL 408 megs once. I view that as a good thing

I can never get their stupid downloader to work so the incremental thing is a pain for me... that being said its still lessens the load on places like fileplanet so it is helpful.

I pay Fileshack for those kinds of things. It's a requirement since I need to patch 100+ games on 40 computers at a moments notice.

Well it's actually optional as to when you want the download to start. If you go into the Options menu in the Launcher, you can choose to have it download while you're playing. And since they gimp the transfer rate so much (down to about 8-10 KB/s), it doesn't really induce lag at all, assuming you have a high speed connection.

background downloader is stuck on 512K of 489 megs for WoW-1.12.x-2.0.1-enUS-patch. where can i go to dl the full patch way faster than the downloader can? also google has proved really useless for searching for this patch, though it gave me this thread.
