Re: Are MIU Weeks doing what they were intended to do?
I think MIU weeks are really good for those that can meet the times. For me I wont be taking advantage of them because I cant get on before 9:00 pm server time.
So good for the guild, eh for me.

I think they are good for the guild and where we have cases such as ladyabyss maybe someone can fill her spot till she can get here and then trade out that way she isnt missing out on the whole run..

Re: Are MIU Weeks doing what they were intended to do?
I like the MIU, but for me it doesn't work very well. Of the times that I have attended a MIU raid, the raid experience into KZ ended that night. Frankly I have seen enough of just the first 2-3 bosses in KZ and would like to progress further. Unfortunately I don't know what to do to accomplish this. I have joined up with Jest's squad in hopes of seeing some more content, but I have been unable to attend thus far.
I have been lucky enought to be on when Gav needed a filler, and have seen the Curator, Prince, and Aran fights a few times. Other than that, nada.Uglyduck - Spec varies - Currently Prot

Re: Are MIU Weeks doing what they were intended to do?
In our last run (Special Forces) Saijer filled in on his hunter. Wow what a help that was to us. His style of not directing for offering advice was GREAT!!! We may not have downed Moroes but we sure gave a couple of valiant efforts. I am confident that he is going down soon (hopefully tonight). But having one or two from the others squad could really be beneficial since as a majority our squad would still be working together.
On the other hand, I totally enjoyed running with the group Luna threw together last MIU. It was fun playing with people i wouldnt normally have run with. So my opinion is maybe offer both situations up for people to choose from. IF SF and CO sets up normals run with say opening for 2 from other squads as a guide of sorts, but also set up other MIU groups for those that arent squaded and maybe make the priority of the group be set to those from the new squads and non squaded versus those that have been numerous times.
After all thats what a guild is for right??Last edited by Cerridwynn; 06-01-2007 at 05:56 PM. Reason: guess i was wrong :-)

Elonwi, what TS channel is passworded? I haven't run into one yet, so I am just wondering.
I know one squad keeps their in game channel passworded, but not TS. Just wondering.Sajaman/|TG-Irr|Sajier - WoW Resto Shaman, BF2/BF2142 Assault/Medic

Re: Are MIU Weeks doing what they were intended to do?
How many MIU weeks have there been so far? ....2? ...3? It's difficult to answer the question of whether or not they are doing what they were intended to do based on that small a sample size.
I'm hoping the idea will catch on more with people over time though whatever the process ends up being for how to mix people. Has the amount of people getting involved in the MIU raids been growing?

Re: Are MIU Weeks doing what they were intended to do?
1. I love the idea Pistos had. I was thinking around the same thing. I know that if just a couple of peeps that know these KZ fights were in our raid that we would have much better success.
2. 2 Squads is 20 to 22 well geared players.. We need 30+ to Progress through these 25 man instances.
3. Cocidius and Special Forces I think(I'm not trying to take anyone down or anything) do have allot of the newer less expierieced players and leaders. And I think we could use a helping hand now and then.
4. This is the first time I've read this thread, so I'm pretty sure allot of the guild is in this same situation. Could we Post a message of the day for everyone to check out and reply to this thread before we throw it out the window?
So I say we keep up with MIU week.

Re: Is MIU Weeks doing what they were intended to do?
Mmmm I like this idea alot! Just getting the 4-5 spots open for others to fill while still maintaning some integrety to the main group (squad) so the new commers can learn from expirience
I'd be glad to step out during one of these nights and help other squads as Pistos segjusted
Just lemmy know what's gonna happen during MUI weeks.

Re: Are MIU Weeks doing what they were intended to do?
A "Swap Week" sort of idea, as Pistos suggested, might be a good alternative to the free-for-all MIU week process we've been using. The swap week, however, does not involve unsquadded people and so we might need to find some way to get unsquadded people involved too.
What is the amount of unsquadded people so far who are interested in doing a mix it up week? If there aren't that many then maybe we should be doing a swap week instead of a MIU week and then have unsquadded people sign up as reserves for the various squads' raids.
