TACTICAL GAMER GUILD APPLICATION

I would like to preface this application. Archoness (my mage) has been my raiding charcter for approximately 3 years. Due to guild circumstances (lack of healing), I felt as a guild officer that I should help rectify the situation by changing mains to a healing class. Obviously, my mage has far superior gear and experience. However, TG does not appear to be apping mages - and I do not under any circumstances want my application to compete with Tarsurion. If that means the out-right denial of my applicaton to your top raiding team because my shaman is not geared to your expectations, then please let me know. I will put an armory link for my mage at the conclusion of the application as well.

Hobbies: music, movies, games, hockey
Other Info: I do work, long hours at times. Further, with the nature of my job, things can come in at the last second that require me to stay late and occasionally miss raid. Having been in management of various MMORPG guilds for years, I understand the need for communication and will do my best to let appropriate people know when and if the situation arises.

I also feel compelled to disclose that I am a Dallas Stars season ticket holder and some of the games will conflict with raid times. Occasionally, I will skip games to attend raid and occasionally I will go to the games. I will sign up for raid accordingly, but I don't see it being much of a conflict at this time.

3) How much general experience do you have with World of Warcraft?
Years/Months played: Too much . I have been playing since the week after the game went live. For those oldschoolers, I was a member of LoTE, then Unseen which morphed into Havok, and then ofHellfire. I will elaborate further below.
Typical play schedule (days & times): Weeknights 7:00 p.m. to 11:30 p.m.; Weekends when something is going on or just when I feel the need to play.

4) What do you enjoy most about World of Warcraft and your characters? I like the game itself. It's by far the best MMORPG I have played (UO, AC, SW). As far as the game itself, I like raiding--the collective team environment to accomplish goals.

5) Which statement best describes your goals in playing World of Warcraft? (please select only one)
[X] I am focused on end-game raiding progression and willing/able to dedicate the time and effort necessary to be successful (3+ raids per week).
[] I want to see as much of the game as possible, but don't have the time or desire to raid frequently enough to master the most advanced instances (~1 raid per week).

[] I prefer working to gear/level multiple characters.

5) How did you hear about Tactical Gamer and/or who directed you to apply?

One of your current applicants, Tarsurion. I also know Argeoff; we affectionately referred to him as "Pirate"

6) What positive things do you feel you can bring to Tactical Gamer?

First, a little different perspective. Having experienced the ins and outs of guild management, I understand rules, the necessity for them, and have a certain respect for those trying to organize raids. It's not an easy task. Additionally, I think I have what it takes to succeed in end game raiding, am willing to listen and take direction, and can handle constructive criticism. It takes teamwork to get through content and I think I can play a part in that role.

7) What positive things do you feel you will get out of joining Tactical Gamer?

I will get to participate in progression and see the rest of the game. At the same time, hopefully make some new friends and have some fun.

8) What aspect of the [Tactical Gamer Guild Creed & Values] appeals to you the most (link provided in the application instructions)?

The balance between teamwork (or advancement) and perspective (or somtimes referred to as reality). Sometimes things come up and sometimes things are unavoidable. Having a guild that can understand those values is a good thing. I have been in some guilds in the past that did not understand that sometimes real life just happens. That being said, I am not looking to show up 50% of the time. I try to keep my attendence at 80% or higher.

9) Of which guild(s) are you currently or were you previously a member?

LoTE - dissolved into Unseen. I was with Unseen for its full run. About the time Unseen switched over to Havok, I decided to move over to ofHellfire. I spent more than 2 years in ofHellfire and during that time was a class leader and subsequently a guild officer for 9 months to a year--I don't know the exact dates.

10) What made you decide to part ways with your previous guild(s)?

The only guild I parted ways with was Unseen/Havok. It was a mutual decision (and a good one in my opinion) due to managment philosphy of the guild. I, however, did not leave on bad terms and still have friends from that time. LoTE dissolved into Unseen for all itnents and purposes, and ofHellfire made the decision to cease raiding due to attendance issues this week.

11) How much Burning Crusade raid content have you experienced on the character with which you are applying? Please differentiate between bosses you've seen and those you've defeated.

On my shaman, I think alot for the 4 weeks I have been raiding: 2 hr. Kara clear; Full ZA; Gruul; Mags; 5/6 SSC; 1/5 Hyjal; and hours of Vashj attempts. On my mage, add 3/4 TK. Additionally, I have experience with Anetheron (sp?) on both characters and have attempted Najentus on my mage.

On a side note here, I did read the requirements for your top raiding guild and would like to add some other comments. I do not have resist sets on either character. However, I do have the resources to acquire and crafted gear immediately. Further, I am more than happy to invest the time and effort to acquire other gear and look forward to talking with guild members about what is necessary.

Additionally, as far as BT attunement, My shaman is on step 7 - (find Udalo in Arcatraz) and my mage has defeated A'lar wearing the cowl. I just have not turned it in yet because I think its cool to run around TK as a dranei. However, this could be turned in at anytime and then I just need to down Rage.

ADDONS & OTHER TECHNICAL QUESTIONS
12) Do you have Teamspeak installed and in working order?

No. oH used Ventrillo. However, I can get it and have it done fairly quickly. I have used it before.

13) Do you have a working microphone to communicate over Teamspeak?

Yes.

14) Do you have a functional threatmeter addon installed? (Omen preferred)

Yes. Omen.

15) If interested in raiding, do you have a raid assistance addon installed? (Ora2 preferred)

Yes. I currently use CTRA and X-Perl, but have no problems switching to oRA2.

16) If interested in raiding, do you have a boss addon installed? (Deadly Boss Mods preferred)

Yes. DBM.

Nice, from Fort Worth I see.

I occasionally make it over to your neck of the woods to see a Brahma's game. Good fights--well usually brawls-- in their games. Unfortunately, I think they have moved to North Richland Hills now.

I will look for you and Wintrow tonight.
