I know I’m a little late to the party, but after noticing that a lot of my friends play Forza Motorsport 2 and Magnum’s post about a summer series, I picked it up this evening. My initial reaction was simply, “Wow!” I grew up on racing games, but caught the FPS bug in my late 20’s and haven’t played one in several years. As soon as FM2 loaded, however, I knew I had found my way back home to the driver’s seat.

My plan is to take it slow and enjoy every detail, which will be hard with all the content. I’ve started out as a novice driving the basic of cars to get accustomed to gameplay, but I’m already itching to tinker with it. The boys in Rainbow Six and Ghost Recon will have to just deal with a little less time in the tray.

Try to ween yourself off of those assists ASAP. You WILL race far better with them off.
