GRAW2 co-op video... 360...

This is HiDef (720p) video footage of our first mission played today for S3 (our weekly Xbox 360 gaming group get together), the mission was the Railroad, one of the new co-op missions from the "classic pack".

This is my first true attempt at capturing HD footage from the 360 via a PC capture card, (the first 2 test are not HD, thou I thought they were.)

You do not hear Xbox 360 VOIP comms, guess thats a seperate channel, In one way I would of liked to hear us talking to show how tactical a console game could be, if played right. But on the otherhand, then you only get the action sounds.

You will notice by mid viewing that the sound is about a second behind the video. Don't know why, new at this... will investigate and learn by trial and error.

I captured it using a Intensity Pro capture card, daisy chained through it. I can only capture at 720p, even thou the 360 and my TV can play at 1080i, another research question.

I use Virtual Dub to capture the raw footage and sound. The complete mission took up 18 GB's of HD space... I then edited it with Movie Maker, cutting out some of the running around, and adding a title. I then save it as 720p HD settings, which made it 555 MB's... still to big to share via internet... So I then used DivX to convert it to DivX, and upload it to Stage6, at just over 300 MB's, still kinda big but to keep it HD, guess thats the best option.

With more testing and learning, I look to eventually be able to capture more footage, from different games... and hope to be able to use it for video reviews of new 360 games, like maybe Vegas 2 in March, or too rip screens for reviews and articles.

BUT, like I said, I'm still learning... any recommendations or suggustions... feel free.

Cool vid (game looks A LOT better in hi-def... even on this small screen)... took quite a bit of loading though, my poor DSL line is-a-chuggin!

Post he vid of the airfield... you know.. where you finish the mission alone, with the pistol. Heh

    UPDATED:

OK, all of the 3 missions from Saturday have been uploaded for viewing or downloading.
(I have removed the first 2 test videos, since they were just test and I screwed up on them anyway.)

All my videos from the Xbox 360, and future ones will be on my Stage ^ page:

I remember playing graw on the 360, it was a good game but gave me a headache for some reason. Maybe just frustration with not being on my familar mouse&keyboard I guess, I felt I was dying for reasons which I couldnt control

I'll watch these vids later thanks

If you find yourself in a fair fight, then you have obviously failed to plan properly.
