    CoD4 Load-outs

Why not: I want to get a bead on how other TG players play this game with the 360 version. PC players are welcome too I guess.

Standard - I change this up from time to time. But it's pretty consistent.
    M4 with red dot
    Perk 1: RPG x 2
    Perk 2: Juggernaut
    Perk 3: Extreme Conditioning.

This is my prefered "get the job done class" that I fall back on when I'm not doing too well. I can traverse the map with little trouble and take enough punishment to usually get to cover. The RPG let's me clear out strongholds, or down an enemy chopper. I use flashbangs for room clearing.

This is a "run and gun" class. I am constantly on the move and firing in short burst while moving. I prefer it on medium range maps.

Modified Standard - a new kit I've developed for unlocking the M16 perks.
    M16 with nade launcher ("n00b t00b")
    Perk 1: Claymore x2
    Perk 2-3: Deep Impact
    Perk 2-3: Stopping Power

With this class, I can be seriously effective at any range, but I prefer picking off medium to long range non-sniper classes with controlled 3-round bursts. If they're behind cover, I can still at least get some damage on them, possibly using the noob tube to finish them off. I generally try to find a building with a second floor and 1-2 entrances. I setup the claymores in semi-hidden locations at the entry points, then proceed to pick off OpFor players with impunity, using either a UAV or my teams comms for location.

It's basically a sniper class that can get you by when you've been found out or when you may need to engage OpFor when getting to a decent camp location. When the flow is right, I tend to dominate with this class.

Ninja - by far my favorite class, but is only effective in certain circumstances.

    Primary: Silenced M4
    Perk 1: Claymore x 2
    Perk 2: UAV Jammer
    Perk 3: Extreme Conditioning

Yea, the name is cliche', but who cares? You're generally off on your own with this one either flanking for kills or calling out OpFor locations when UAV isn't available. You won't last long against other more front-line classes, but you can get by in a pinch.

It's good to stay away from other teammates and flank. You need a good understanding of a map to run this class as running out in the open because you don't know good cover locations will get you killed fast.

This is my preferred "knife kill" class. Why? Not because it's fun (well... that's part of it). It's because people HATE getting knife killed. So, the OpFor will try to hunt you down for revenge knife kills. When this is happening, take full advantage. Run away and lead them right back to your teammates (make sure to let them know you're coming). Hilarity will ensue.

I try and dedicate myself to a certain task when running this kit. Kind of like the spy in TF2, you need to analyze how the game is doing and react accordingly. If one sniper is dominating your team, make it your mission to kill him. He'll be much less effective if he has to watch his back while also contending with the sniper rifle scope.

If they are grouped up and just cutting a path through your team: shoot one or two of them, then fade into cover. You don't always need to kill them, just distract them so your team can mop up. If you want to try for some kills, get a fix on their location then setup some claymores. Move up, pop a few rounds into a player, then fall back and wait for him to come to you. The claymores should do the rest.

My standard kit. Not speedy, but can hold down a lane of fire and can even "snipe" it's so accurate and deadly. Not sure how this will compete with the new patch out.

    Re: CoD4 Load-outs

I love this combo. But I just had to effin' Prestige. Stupid.

    G3 silenced
    M1911 silenced
    Perk 1: Bomb Squad
    Perk 2: UAV Jammer
    Perk 3: Dead Silence

Beautiful combo. Well, on Hardcore modes anyway. On regular TDM probably an AK silenced. But I still like both. Seriously deadly. Any map. I'll edit this post later because I haven't slept yet.

    My fav:
    RPD
    Grip
    Double Tap
    Steady Aim

Get some if you want it. Although I'm thinking of maybe ditching Steady Aim for Penetration or something that effect.

    Re: CoD4 Load-outs

Since going prestige and being stuck with few options, the experience from the first time through has reshaped my kit set as I've gone back to level 50+

    Standard:
    G36 w/ Red Dot
    Frag x 3
    Stopping Power
    Extreme Conditioning

As said, this class can handle almost any situation thrown at it.

    Ninja:
    P90 w/ silencer
    Frag x 3
    Stopping Power
    Steady Aim

One thing I've noticed is the absolute atrocious netcode with CoD4 on the 360. At time I will drill a guy with 10 rounds, only to die from one shot. Watching the replay, I find that he was actually shooting me WELL before hand. So, this kit tries to even things out. By firing from the hip and zig-zagging inconsistently, I feel like I'm fooling some of the prediction on the server. It also helps to sometimes start firing as you come around the corner if you know there's an enemy around it. The mag size for the P90 makes this work out better than most other weapons. And from listening to guys bitch after a match that I run this kit, it seems to work when my connection seems like crap.

Lacking a UAV jammer makes this kit a condition Ninja class, but it works quite well. By moving quickly and in random patterns, I can get into the FoV when the player is hopefully glancing up at his map.

    Boom:
    M16 w/ GL
    G3 w/ GL

    No Perk 1
    Overkill
    Martydom

By FAR, my favorite kit. And if you've been playing CoD4 for any length of time, I'm sure you know the amount of loathing I get from people. I can almost guaranteed pull about 2+ kills per spawn with this kit, and I'd bet good money it's the reason for the two neg reps I've been left. 2 kills per spawn may not seem like much, but betting solid on a 2:1 K/D ratio is a great way to win a TDM.

    Re: CoD4 Load-outs

Seeing as I can't edit my original posts..

Well, my G3 combo is what I use for pretty much everything that involves hardcore modes. S&D and TDM.

    Main:
    G3 silenced
    M1911 silenced
    Bomb Squad
    UAV Jammer
    Dead Silence

    Sniper:
    M40A3 or M21
    G36C w/Red Dot
    Claymore x2
    Overkill
    Dead Silence or Iron Lungs

    CQB:
    P90 silenced
    M1911 silenced
    Bomb Squad
    UAV Jammer
    Dead Silence

The other two classes I use for leveling up guns. If you haven't noticed, I LOVE sneaking around behind people. It's a damn shame though that nobody really plays tactically on this game. I have found a few, and befriended them. Other than that though...
