In summary, the specific points brought up by the 360 regulars are:

We are not large enough of a group to warrant any special class with relation to the 360 version of the game.

Trial by fire is a pretty good way to learn. A round of Rainbow Six Vegas 2 with the TG/SimHQ guys will cover most of what you need to learn.

I also suggest checking the console calendar for events. These are great ways to meet some of the regs and get invites to most of the gamer tags. If you have Forza 2, I would recommend meeting up on that day. A friendly race is a good ice breaker over being counted on in a versus match.

and yet Fallen, why are you still posting here? Do you have a Xbox 360? What games do you play?

I can only assume that you DON'T, since you haven't answered the question, therefore why are you trying to direct a new poster into false information, he obviously has a Xbox 360 and is looking for tactical instruction... where will he get it? From you on the PC or from us, members of TG that meet at least every week, usually 3 times a week give or take, on XBL...

I am sorry if I came off hostile to you, it was meant to be but not directly to-wards you but for what TG has done...

IMO, (and many others according to the rep system and PM's) Your university training has ruined most PC game servers, along with admins trying to make more of a game then what it really is...

You TG members have seemed to forgotten what the hell computer gaming is... it's simple for TG, play the game the way it was developed/made to be played, utilizing tactics and teamwork... no perk restrictions, invisible boundaries, etc etc... I can understand a set of simple rules like no M203 spamming into a spawn area, where gamers could use the game design flaws to stack up their stats or kills... but most servers here at TG have gone overboard with rules...

I've tried bringing up issues with first game admins, they just go into a major defensive mode, then to the "Tactical Officers" who have labeled me a trouble maker and just ignore my request, then to the man himself, who is all but a ghost here anyway, so the game officers run it thier way, right or wrong... I do wonder if Apophis even has a clue on the number of unhappy SM's in this community.

But oh well, a game (tactical) officer will delete this ASAP, and nothing will be resolved AGAIN... then more and more old time members will slowly leave... I myself have given TG till the end of the year before I make the decision to find another gaming group, Since Apophis did show a little love not to long ago to the Xbox 360 TG community. But I'm not getting my hoped hope.

oh, and too answer the next question... "Then why the hell are you still here?"

Because, as much as I'm pissed at the direction TG has taken in the last year or so, I love and remember what TG represented 2 to 6 years ago... it's a great group of players, people, and too many great game moments just to let go...so I keep hoping.

So what needs to be done to help further a console community? Why hasn't it picked up here when you have so many people playing these games?

    No clue.

Schedule event, 3 people show, Magnum would post screens and write AAR in hopes of getting more people interested... then the process would repeat for the few 360 players interested.

We recently got the additional forums and Calendar, which, hopefully, will help. Judging from this Saturdays GRAW2 event however, I think it may be too little too late.

Maybe a TGU class would initiate some interest, if we got one, but I'm not holding my breath.

Magnum, I feel your pain. I have been a member here for well over 10, when NS and GR were the only TG options, years and I still come back hoping for the glory days of Ghost Recon.
I agree too many rules taking away the fun. But the larger the community the more yo uhave to make rules to keep the smacktards at bay.
Hell it has finally gotten to the point I am considering changing my Xbox Live tag from "TG Toshido" to simply "Toshido"
