What titles are you looking forward to in 2009?
Well with the first half January almost down I was looking around to see what new games were coming out in 2009.
I guess Xbox is a little quiet on the subject because they are letting the Christmas hits roll through still.
But i have seen a few titles like...
Halo Wars
Halo ODST
Resident Evil 5
Final Fantasy XIII
Gears of War 3...Possibly same time the Movies is out?
A few others but have you guys seen anything that you are looking forward to?
Can be either a certain game in general or console specific...
Any good Tactical games we should be looking out for?

Yeah things are kind of quiet right now. I was however pumped to see this one on the way.
Il-2 sturmovik birds of prey on the 360, and from what I have heard it is a complete representation of the pc version. It will be nice to have a true flight sim on the 360 and not a watered down version of one.
I'm also keeping my eye on these tactical games.
Operation Flashpoint 2: Dragon Rising:
16 man teams with each team mate in control of 8 NPCs.
128 soldiers on the battlefield?
70 weapons
50 vehicles
How about the travel time from one side of the island to the other!
4.5 hours on foot
2.5 hours in land vehicle
20 minutes in air
And then of course Arma II , looks like it might be pretty good.

NBA 2K10, Skate 2, OFP2, and possibly ArmA2, but OFP is looking to be the better of the two at this point. Screw Halo. Most unrealistic crap I've ever laid eyes on.

LOL! It is funny you say that. My remembrances of the original Halo are still hanging over me. I used to play Halo all the time on the PC and was very disappointed that they did not come out with Halo 2 on the PC until YEARS later...by then I was over it...
So I get my 360 and borrow Halo 3 from jagerbomb and felt so let down. Like a kid going back to an old town he grew up in and looking around and saying..."It looked bigger as a kid"....LOL!
After playing so much Graw 2 / COD 4 and other tactical realistic style games....well truthfully I am having a hard time getting into Halo 3....LOL! I still want to complete it just for the story but it lacks the luster it did for me when I used to spend hours playing the original Halo...

Re: What titles are you looking forward to in 2009?
I remember playing Resident Evil (4?) on my Gamecube, and I loved it, but hated one thing SO badly to the point where it made me stop playing the game. You couldn't move and shoot at the same time. What, the, ****.
EDIT: I think ArmA2 is only for the PC? And I'd like to reiterate on how much Halo sucks.TG Primer

Re: What titles are you looking forward to in 2009?
Ahh No I play a lot of arma on the Pc and ARMA II is coming to the 360 as a excluisive 360 title. Here is the link, http://xbox360.ign.com/objects/958/958402.html#Scene_1
Here is Ign's current write up and the scheduled release date.
"The next evolution in developer Bohemia Interactive's military endeavors. ArmA 2 is set in the near future, year 2009, in a fictional post soviet country called Chernarus. Players will be sent as members of a United States Marine Corps Force Recon squad to this country to prevent further civilian casualties and ensure ongoing stability there.
Arma 2 is based on the latest generation technology, offering large –scale game world, authentic and extremely detailed modern units, weapons, vehicles and enviroments, challenging single player and vast array of multiplayer options.
Genre: First-Person Shooter
Exclusively on Xbox 360
Release Date: June 30, 2009
March 30, 2009
Unreleased "
Yeah I was just as surprised as you probably are about ARMA II and also The new IL-2: Sturmovik: Birds of Prey coming to the 360. I hope they both due very well because this is the first time games are being made for the 360 that are Hard core sims and not the usual watered down crap we get a lot of on console. I hope that anyone that is a fan of serious simulation games like these spreads the word around to support their coming to the 360.
Get Tactical, DESODE
PS, I'd like to agree Halo SUCKS !Gamertag 360= DESODE

Re: What titles are you looking forward to in 2009?
There's not a whole lot:
I would love the L4Dead DLC.
Same with the Fallout 3 DLC.
HAWX is... ok. I enjoy it, but it has no real staying power.
The UFC game will be looked at, but I'm not expecting much.
Ghostbusters definitely.
My entire friends list is filled with people on RE5. But I have no idea how you could play the demo and purchase the game. The controls are literally broken (both intentionally and unintentionally) and no one cares. In fact, most game reviews just gloss it over and still give the game a 9.5. Sorry, controls are by far the most important part of a game and if you have to break them to artificially increase the difficulty of the game, then it's not worth it. I guess reviewers are worried Capcom fan-boys will send death threats or something.
