  • Tactical Gamer Welcomes the Arrival of Battlefield 3 Beta

Tactical Gamer extends its heartiest congratulations to Electronic Arts on the upcoming release of Battlefield 3 and its currently available Beta. Released to the general public on September the 29th and currently filling most available servers to capacity, the worlds FPS gaming community is alive with excitement for this long awaited release.

Battlefield 3 is the long awaited successor to 2005's Battlefield 2. For 6 long years fans of the series have pined for a sequel and now it is finally upon us. During the heyday of BF2, Tactical Gamer ran one of the most successful servers in the world. Teamwork, maturity and a professional standard of communication were the everyday norm. Many in the Tactical Gamer community call the Battlefield series home, and the excitement that has been building is immense.

Now, building on the hugely successful release of the Battlefield 3 Beta, TG is once again zeroing its sights, and preparing the platoons for war. Our In House Squads are standing to, are you?

Battlefield 3 brings to the table everything that FPS gamers have always loved about the Battlefield series, and mixes in many features from EA's successful titles that have appeared in the interim since Battlefield 2. This is what we've all been waiting for so please come join the fun with us here at Tactical Gamer.

Information to get you up and running with the Beta can be found here in our BF3 forum.

I know there is still a lot of speculation out there and some are upset by the changes DICE has made. Personally I really like the game however DICE as whole is very community oriented so I know they will listen. Hands down I love the gameplay and I think conquest on the new Frostbite engine will be almost cinematic. Although DICE should still implement an in-game browser I must point out that by separating the server browser from the game this will result in less pointless downtime and overall the interface is insanely quick.

I will be getting my own 64 slot server and will be glad to give any TG supporting member a nice reserve slot.

See you on the ground, guys. Hooah!
