TacticalGamer will be hosting it's first scenario based event for Squad on October 27th at 20:00 hrs Central Time

Two teams of 12 will face off in the dusty streets of Sumari.

The US are tasked with retrieving a vital logistics vehicle and returning it to US main base.

Local Insurgents have been alerted to the precious cargo and are actively seeking to locate and destroy it.

To complete their objectives the US team must deploy and supply a radio and repair station near the damaged vehicle and carry out 5 minutes of repairs before it can be returned to US Main Base. US forces will be reliant on Rally Points for Reinforcement.

The Insurgents will achieve victory by locating and destroying the logistics vehicle. The only restriction on the Insurgents is that they do not have mortars available to them.

Teams will be picked by two nominated Team Captains in a traditional pickem format, with the winner of the timeless coin toss picking first. The scenario will play through at least twice with the teams switching each round.

Each team will be provided with private Discord channels to facilitate communication and organisation.

A TG Squad Admin will act as referee via Admin Cam.

    How do I sign up?

It's simple, click here, post a reply "/registered". If you would like to volunteer as a Team Captain please indicate that as well. Further information is available in the linked thread above.

Sign up soon, slots are limited and going fast.

    • Urgent Announcement Regarding Tactical Gamer
      by Apophis
Tactical Gamer has been through many incarnations over the years. The community was originally built back in 1996 and has been through a couple re-brandings over the past 24 years. We had some fantastic times with the original Quake 2 LMCTF environment and really started to solidify the purpose of the community with the launch of the original Counter-Strike. We’ve had a fantastic run over the years but all good things must come to an end.

It brings me no pleasure to announce that Tactical Gamer will be ceasing operations on February 29th, 2020. There are a multitude of reasons why, but suffice it to say that the gaming landscape has changed drastically and brought us to an era where people have been pulled away due to different priorities in life and that has affected our ability to manage the community in a manner consistent with its founding purpose. For those of you who have helped the community survive through the Supporting Member program, I can’t thank you enough. Without you this dream would have died many years ago.

Next Steps - For those of you with Supporting Memberships, please use the opportunity over the next month to log into your PayPal accounts and cease payments to Tactical Gamer. I am going to attempt to do a bulk-cancellation on the 29th of February, but I’m not sure how well that is going to work. You will also want to make sure to download any files or content you have in your web hosting accounts (if you have taken advantage of that in the past) as well as any email you have on our systems that you want to keep. I am going to continue to renew the domain registration, although what I do with it and where I point it has yet to be determined.

In closing, I want to thank everyone for over two decades of great gaming and especially thank those that have taken on the relatively thankless Site/Community/Game Officer roles and everything you’ve done to help keep the community on track.

      All the best...
