Journey of a BF2:PR Rookie 09

A few days ago I saw a squad named, "1st time SL" and was happy to see that someone was taking the next step. There were only 2 people in the squad including the SL so I thought I would join to lend some support. I talked with the SL and what I discovered was a little disheartening. Throughout the round, a lot of people had left his squad. You could hear the disappointment in his voice.

I can't really describe the feeling but whenever I think about that incident, I have to shake my head and wonder why those players joined his squad in the first place. The SL was trying to lead for the first time and he wasn't going to do everything right. He was going to make a lot of mistakes-- not knowing what to do, where to go, or even what to say. But you know what? That's how it's supposed to be. We all have to start somewhere. All we can do as squad members is try to encourage him as best we can and be a little patient as he figures things out.

Players join and leave squads fairly often and most squad leaders don't mind. I can only say what happened two days ago and the effect it had on a SL who was leading for the first time. Any thoughts?
