Is it just because I'm a parent that I find comedians who talk about their children's manerism extremely funny?

I was watching "Last Comic Standing" last night and this guy is talking about how he feels he's living with a short Japanese general. Then he does this really quick walk back and forth across the stage and says in a horrible Japanese accent, "You play trains with me now! daddy" The comedian goes into how some times it feels like an interrogation, he crosses his arms and pulls a draw from a fake cigarette and says, "So hooow come you no want to play trains with me?" I thought my wife was going to pee her pants and she never laughs at anything.
