Wyzcrack whould you please indulge me with your reasoning on taking it off?

I've played a few games with it off and I don't really like it. For me being able to see mine and everyone elses kill/death ratios is really important in making a strategic decision. I can see if a team is being more agressive or defensive, who the commander might be, if someone is perma gorging, and if someone is having a good or bad night. But majority rules on this server and if everyone likes it off I will respect their wishes.

I dont like it either, but if you decide to keep it im all for it... Sorta 45% like 55% dislike.

Its cool becuase people arent going for there score, but then again, i like having the scoreboard to see just how im doing.

        Please return the scoreboard.

Even when I'm not looking at my personal scores, its nice to be able to see the total team scores to get a rough idea of whose winning.

Keep in mind, dude, that points are still recorded so you can see who is comm. I'm mostly indifferent but I rather like it at the moment.

We're seeing a lot of new faces with the removal of CD. With those new faces, I'm already seeing too much focus on scores. The removal of the KD makes it clear to new people arriving that this is a team-based server.

I very much like how the scoreboard, without KD, seems so... pure... you have a score and your team has a score. It's simple.

Now... I understand that KD can have merits. I want more feedback from more people.

Darkilla: In short, NS is pretty much really fast chess. With guns. Apophis: I haven't seen anyone say that SM's are better than non-SMs. Nordbomber: This is THE first server I've seen where either side can comeback from out of seemingly nowhere with the right teamwork. en4rcment: I have NEVER experienced the type of gameplay that I have found here. Nightly I am amazed at the personalities and gaming talent. Zephyr: Apophis is clearly a highly sophisticated self-aware AI construct that runs on a highly modified toaster oven in Wyzcrak's basement.

              Im undecided...

Sometimes I like to see my deaths, because I tend to run out and get myself killed. Seeing my deaths reminds me not to do that.

I like NOT seeing kills of other people (and my own). It prevents me from comparing myself to them, which can be distracting.

Can you bring deaths back... if so, why not do it?

I want to see kills/deaths on the scorebord. The fact people can't see scores wont make them play as a team any better.

That's three points for why the scoreboard *should* be disabled. One should not know these things about the other team without in-game reconnaissance.

Firmly disagree, with firsthand experience to back it. If there's no way to see your "ratio", then you have no opportunity to even be concerned about it. That's one non-team-enhancing motivation completely eliminated.

I'm definitely for removing the KD scores. They server no legitimate purpose in game other than to distract people from playing.

Though having them at the end of the game might be useful so people can see how they did.

I like the scoreboard K/D gone in combat, but Id like to see the scoreboard K/D in classic for reasons discussed above.

Disabling the scores will not stop people from ramboing, not following orders, muting the entrie team, or having little knowledge about the game, it does not make people play better as a team. In a past version ( I forget what one) kill/deaths were disabled for the marines and it was the same pub experance as it is now. If people want to go for kills they will and nothing is wrong with that as long as they follow the rules of the server.

And what the hell is so wrong with knowing your kill/death ratio is anyway, I think people just blow it up to be some huge problem when it isnt one.

At the very least, let the total team kill/death show, because I honestly look at that more often then then individual kill/death. It's a really useful statistic, that sums up in a glance how well your team is doing overall.

I have to say, I love not having them showing. Typically, I'd be in giveup mode if our k/d hit 1:2. For me, not having them delays the realization that a win/loss is inevitable; thus, extending the fun part of the game.
