We're too often reading the map based on what we see, and it's holding us back by leaving us responsive -- reacting on the other team's terms.

Consider what's happening in the map's fog. Counter what they're doing on your terms, not theirs.

Darkilla: In short, NS is pretty much really fast chess. With guns. Apophis: I haven't seen anyone say that SM's are better than non-SMs. Nordbomber: This is THE first server I've seen where either side can comeback from out of seemingly nowhere with the right teamwork. en4rcment: I have NEVER experienced the type of gameplay that I have found here. Nightly I am amazed at the personalities and gaming talent. Zephyr: Apophis is clearly a highly sophisticated self-aware AI construct that runs on a highly modified toaster oven in Wyzcrak's basement.

I have mixed feelings on this. The main hurdle I see is that often teams aren't coordinating in the responsive play, so it's harder to coordinate in a more generalized quazi-threat response.

I don't disagree with the sentiment, I just think we (myself included quite severely) need to be better at progressing toward that before that can be the measurement. Maybe that doesn't make sense.
