  • getting stuck to res nodes

Strange thing happened on ns_lost the other night. I'm a fade, hitting marine res nodes.

Several times, when I started attacking the node, I would get "stuck" to it, not being able to free myself without "/stuck". I'm not sure, but I also think there were times that an immediate and complete loss of energy also accompanied this phenomenon. It happened on elec'd and non-elec'd nodes.

If anyone else experiences this, please do advise.

Apophis: I haven't seen anyone say that SM's are better than non-SMs. Nordbomber: This is THE first server I've seen where either side can comeback from out of seemingly nowhere with the right teamwork. en4rcment: I have NEVER experienced the type of gameplay that I have found here. I mentioned this the other day. It happened over and over again to me as a skulk. Yes, you lose your adren. It did not happen to me last night, but I didn't play much. It coincided with the installation of the new pingbooster, I believe.

    3) Support game play in a near-simulation environment. Where the focus of play would not be solely on doing what it takes to win, but doing so utilizing real-world combat strategy and tactics rather than leveraging exploits provided to players by the design of the game engine.

I think you're right. We need to learn more about this if we can.

It seems to me from my experience when you get stuck in anything I believe you will lose whatever adrenaline you use up while stuck and it will not regenerate. This was a much bigger problem when the "/stuck" plugins weren't around. Gave me headaches with the 1.04 blinks geting me stuck in walls frequently.

As far as getting stuck in res nodes I have not had any problems getting stuck in them other then comms dropping then on me :P.

        I love gaming, mmmmmmmm

suits you well...that's what you get for trying to kill an innocent res node :)

alright, to be serious, i've never had a problem before because i always "take a break" after my energy level reaches below half.

it's true, i've... walked INTO several res nodes after they were already built, and i've gotten stuck...

i don't think it has anything to do with PB, as it has happened before, but now it seems more common o_O

Have not had a problem with it in a long time. However, when I'd get stuck using blink in 1.0x, I'd lose all energy and it would not regenerate.

With for the Adrenalin thing, its a bug that happens when you get stuck. As for getting stuck on res nodes, I havn't noticed it when I play. I could see this getting messy if they are electrified

This has only happened to me a few times since posting this thread.

What I have noticed, and a LOT, is res nodes moving ever so slightly when they're initially attacked. I suppose you get stuck if the movement of your hitbox and the movement of the res node's hitbox overlap just right, or something.

Just thought I would post an observation about this:

It only happened to me once, and then, I was as close as possible to it, knifing an unfinished resnode (that is, the gorge placed it, and we killed him before building it to completion). I don't know if that helps with the isolation.
