  • I'm too pro

    For this world.

By the end of next week, I will be finished with my robotic armature project in school.

I have successfully designed and implemented a conveyor system into a robotic armature that moves product to be tested and drilled and put in a finished batch.

Come March of this year, I will graduate from school carrying the title of Industrial Machine Automation Control Specialist. I'm looking at upwards of $40,000 a year entry level with insurance benefits, 12 paid vacations, and optional 401k.

I've developed my first set of life goals. I'm planning on moving to Bruton Branch here in TN, just off of Pickwick Lake (Tennessee River). About 5 miles from Bruton, there's a place called Dry Creek. During the summer, 4 wheeler people ride out there. You can see upwards of 500 people a day riding. It's about 1000 acres of riding terrain, and about another 1500 of illegal terrain that people ride on anyways. The river will be within 15 minutes of my house. I plan on owning my house, 2 jet ski's and 2 4 wheelers by the time I'm 35.

When I turn 35, I plan on starting a project building a cabin in the Smoky Mountains. I want a cabin by a stream so I can fish. :P

I remember I was asking you guys a long while back about jobs. I just wanted you all to know that I'm set now.

Btw, when I get that house in Bruton Branch, you're all coming down for BBQ night at Mom's house, right?

It would depend, but I would love to go to a bbq when you host one (assuming at least a few years down the road).

Anyway, best of luck to you.

Yeah, a few years down the road.

I have found a job, but I haven't applied yet. I'm overly qualified to train for the position they want me to fill, and the above 40k a year and etc are the specs for the position.

I'm looking at 40k starting out if I move to Bruton, but if I move to Memphis I could work for a contracting agency looking at upwards of 130$ an hour... but I won't be on salary and it's not considered a permanent job...

So, I think I'll take the 40k, and settle at around 90k a year and live comfortable, not completely rich. :P

My position of crime overlord pays WAY more than that. Sadly the insurance and other benefits are lacking.

In all seriousness it's good to get some direction for yourself. Best of luck to you.
