    Now that there's some talk about finalizing NS to 1.0, I must encourage Yellow Asterisk to push his map into the mainstream.

                Where do either of those threads say anything about the final version being 1.0? Otherwise, it's a typo which is what was asked several posts ago.

                  I see. So no one wants to see Yellow succeed in his hard map-making work, and you all start an argument on a non-issue to distract from a direct proposal to help him succeed.

                    Yellow has already succeeded in his hard map-making work.

                    Your reference to NS 1.0 being released IN THE FUTURE is the only point of confusion here. Version numbers proceed upwards numerically, and we're presently playing release version 3.x of NS.

                    Darkilla: In short, NS is pretty much really fast chess. With guns. Apophis: I haven't seen anyone say that SM's are better than non-SMs. Nordbomber: This is THE first server I've seen where either side can comeback from out of seemingly nowhere with the right teamwork. en4rcment: I have NEVER experienced the type of gameplay that I have found here. Nightly I am amazed at the personalities and gaming talent. Zephyr: Apophis is clearly a highly sophisticated self-aware AI construct that runs on a highly modified toaster oven in Wyzcrak's basement.

                      Games like CS are "finalized" to version 1.0 because they were a beta until then. I think DoD reverted to 1.0 when it went retail. NS has already had 2 final releases and is working towards its third, which is why Zunni said "3.0 Final..."

                          Oh Hell. You know, after seeing this thread i became aware of why i was unable to work on my new map. it was because co_asterisk was not done. i had just gotten tired of working on it. i am thinking about picking up the old hammer and making an update. i have some new inspiration and am gonna try some new ideas.

                            I got one, How about after the marines barricaded the aliens the "While You Were Out" people came in and installed lights. What do you think?
