  • Welders and How They're Better For You

I did a simple search and didn't come up with this suggestion, so I figured I'd make it.

I've noticed a lot of people using welders on buildings that are just blueprints. At first, I thought they didn't know what they were doing... then I tried it.

You can build blueprints with welders!!

    :P

It's much quieter to build with welders and allows for you to hear Skulks approaching. Building with a welder so that you have a better chance of surviving a Skulk approach is also a great way to remind yourself to get a welder for teamwork as well. Since I realized the benefits of welding to build, I've almost always got a welder on me, and anyone near me almost always has full armor.

It's great, guys. TRY IT! :)

Yup, I think they build about 1.5-2x as fast.

Equal build speed (used to be more for welder) but welder still has benefits specific to building. Freedom of movement, quieter, repairs AND builds if you happen to be building a damaged building (I think, damaged buildings always seem to finish at 100% health w/ welder when they don't w/o)
