  • 4 cores vs 6+ cores

Am interested to hear from TG players:

Is it better if you were to build a machines JUST TO PLAY PUGB, to have a i7-7700K (and therefore king of clock speed at the moment), or a i7-7800X (with 6 cores), with the correct equivalent motherboard and chipset, and all other components as equal as possible (RAM amount, clock speed, GPU)?

Or is this not a relevant question?

Don't know about PUBG but ARMA 3 doesn't see 6 cores, so I'd check into what PUBG devs say on the matter of cores. That being said, I run an i-7 5820K 6 core that works beautifully with A3 (steady 60 fps+) but only gives half the performance in PUBG.

My i7-6700K gives me way better performance in PUBG than it does in ArmA. It can keep ArmA up above 60 until the server performance hit arrives :(

PUBG stays above 90 most the time - excluding the mess that is the loading lobby.
