  • Why PR should move to ARMA 2

    The BF2 engine is severely outdated and can hardly boast any realism with limitations such as view range < 1km. Secondly ARMA2 has got a much better physics engine with real projectile physics, firefights would be more realisitc, more fierce.

    Most importantly the engine consumes less memory/resources than the BF2 engine. Check out the video below.

    Look how well infantry units blend in with the surrounding area. This IS the next step in realistic game-play, all PR needs to do is shrink the maps slightly and reduce the assets.

    Um...you're a bit late on this one Zelenka.


    and that was back in march. its still actively being worked on and there have been several discussions in the PR forum about it. sorry buddy, old news.

      Dr.Zelenka, while I agree that arma can offer you a more refined tactical gameplay due to game itself, I have to disagree with the optimization. ArmA engine is old and very resource hog, I believe that more then an half of the players who will try PR ArmA will quit due to that simple fact.

      But while PR ArmA isn't out, why don't you play some ArmA2 here at TG, we have been getting allot of new/returning players lately and the server as been full for the past nights.
