I think Relic beat them to the punch with COH Online, but that's just my interpretation.

I agree, even Age of Empires: Online I would put in that category and that just released a couple weeks back. Possibly End of Nations is much larger from what we've been seeing from other games in the same genre, and it will have some type of "raiding" involved... and I use "raiding" as a loose term for large team based objectives.

Wasn't Shattered Galaxy the first MMORTS? A decade ago?

I will admit though, End of Nations does look kind of cool. And that's from a gamer who doesn't particularly like RTS games.

As a note, if you watch this,

These guys are working with the creator of Dune 2,

Widly considered the worlds first RTS ever created. The creators of Command and Conquer series, so they can't rip off themselves. They are also responsible for Age of Empires Online as well.

As another note, Petroglyph has succeeded Westwood Studios.

TotalBiscuit also posted a gameplay session he had at Gamesom. End of Nations looks interesting, but not being a huge RTS player not for me. The drop in/drop out play and the huge player counts that they are setting up for sound really great though.
