  • Video Editing Software

I posted this in the Video Production forum, but while it got +120 views, it didn't get one response. Perhaps it doesn't get visited often enough? It seems like a simple question that would elicit numerous responses:

I need to edit video from Mini-DV and save it to DVD. Does anyone have recommendations for an easy to use software package? Video Studio Pro X6 looks like a contender.

Do you need to do anything besides moving it from one physical media type to another?

I need to edit it down into something more presentable.

      Thanks

Windows moviemaker if you want to keep it simple. Avid if you want the best and After effects if you need to do a lot of effects/graphics.
Its never "easy" to deal with video on a computer, there's always something that ****s up and the only thing that helps is experience. So, get stuck in and try a few programs to see what suits you the best.
