I don't know how many of you remember the original UFO: Enemy Unknown (AKA X-COM: UFO Defense), but for those of you reading this and feeling a bit nostalgic now, OpenXCOM is bringing the experience back with many major improvements.

Apparently it has been around for a bit, I just found out about it recently because of a news article stating that they just reached version 1.0.

I've been playing this for the past week, and I've got to say that I am pleased with the improvements! Especially the bug fixes! Now they just gotta make it usable for TFTD.

Looks pretty good. I wonder if I'll have trouble running it on my Windows 8 machine...

          Re: OpenXCOM

Take a look at the news section of the openxcom website...anybody else get a little excited like I did? Don't get too excited, they are still working on it. But it does mean it is a matter of when, and not if anymore!

Looks like I'll be reinstalling UFO Defense lol. Although Enemy Within has given me a lot of hours of fun.
