  • The Interview... the movie...

Just watched it, rented it on my XB1, it was a good movie but not great, a lot of good one liners and incidences... but pretty much only for those who like that type of comedy.

You can buy or rent it on XB1...and also You Tube. if interested.

The part with the Tiger was great.

Funny, not Oscar material, though that was to be expected. Rent it just to piss off Kim

Yea I love that comedy group though Franco, Rogen, Robinson, and Hill plus others. Not sure why people are bashing this movie.. its the same type of comedy this group has always produced and its not for some people. I laughed through out the movie at their usual penis jokes and other innuendos. If you enjoy their movies like This is the End and Superbad esque movies this will give you a few laughs but dont expect it to be like Brad Pitt in 7 years in Tibet I guess.

4 stars for a quick laugh! Plus it 4.99$ to watch it at home while drinking beer on opening night.. this may need to be the new thing. I might even stop pirating movies because the current price to go to the movies, lord forbid with a date, it too dang high and half the time the movies are garbage.

The above movie criticisms pretty much cover what I figured the movie itself would be. However this entire situation has got me thinking on a number of tangents.

The cynic in me wants to say that this was all a big PR stunt by Sony, and therefore no-one should pay money to see this.

The forwarded thinking technologist in me wants to encourage people to pay money to see it, because I'm all for supporting new and innovative methods of distribution.

The conspiracy theorist in me thinks that this was all a false flag operation executed by those in power to (soon) justify why we will need more laws regulating / reducing freedom on the internet (although is anything really beyond imagination after the Snowden/NSA revelations?)

It was about a six for me, it's definitely no Pineapple Express or This is the End. Franco overplayed the the character, and went overboard where it was not funny a lot of the times. Forgettable movie for the most part.

Had no interest before the flap and I continue to have no interest after.

            Meh.

I watched it last night. Heard it was funny so I figured I'd check it out, for the hell of it. Seth Rogen is cool in my book, so that was a little bit of motivation to watch it. There were some comedic moments and some funny one-liners and I laughed pretty heartily at some things. Kinda in the vein of Superbad, Zach and Miri Make a Porno, Pineapple Express - that kind of comedy. Not a bad flick. I dug it.
