  • Broadband or Dialup?

ISDN (anything 128 and below) counts as dialup, we'll say.

Not a lot to talk about here. I'm just curious how much of each we have among us.

Be advised: your answer is publicly-viewable (not a big deal, but polls aren't typically this way).

Darkilla: In short, NS is pretty much really fast chess. With guns. Apophis: I haven't seen anyone say that SM's are better than non-SMs. Nordbomber: This is THE first server I've seen where either side can comeback from out of seemingly nowhere with the right teamwork. en4rcment: I have NEVER experienced the type of gameplay that I have found here. Nightly I am amazed at the personalities and gaming talent. Zephyr: Apophis is clearly a highly sophisticated self-aware AI construct that runs on a highly modified toaster oven in Wyzcrak's basement.

Mediacom Cable. In theory it's 3.0M/512, but in reality it's more like 2.0M/512, also $40/mo

There is no such thing as a T1 with a 6.0Mb/sec transfer rate.

A T1 has a MAXIMUM transfer rate of 1.544Mbps. That's in bits, not bytes. A T1 at max capacity only allows for 193KB/sec download speeds.
