  • Civilization IV Support

Okay. So I've been thinking about setting up Tactical Gamer to support CIV IV.

It's a highly tactial game that I think many of our members would really enjoy. The support system would be similar to what we do for World of Warcraft. We can supply forums, discussions, strategy, tactics, etc.

I think we could also set up a pretty nifty ladder on Tactical Conflict for it as well.

How many of you would be interested?

Amazingly, I ended up at the game's site and couldn't answer this question for myself. Either that's one over-glossed site or I'm just an idiot who can't read:

This is third-person strategy, right? Is it real-time or turn-based?

Apophis: I haven't seen anyone say that SM's are better than non-SMs. Nordbomber: This is THE first server I've seen where either side can comeback from out of seemingly nowhere with the right teamwork. en4rcment: I have NEVER experienced the type of gameplay that I have found here. Does anyone know how Civ IV is going to handle airplanes and helicopters? Like Civ II, like Civ III or something new?

Haha, I read this and I thought you were starting a support group for those of us that want the game so much, but can't get it because it's not quite out yet.

I'm semi-interested; I say semi because I doubt I'll ever play multiplayer or participate in the ladder.

Oh, and I really hope they do better with helicopters and paratroopers in this version. Two of the most useless units in Civ3.

Civ 2 was the shizzle. Never really played 3. Wasn't 3 not even made by Miers?
