Checking Windows Date/Time settings: EST is GMT -5.

I'm pretty sure you can select which time zone you want displayed through the user CP.

            Re: Time ???

I must congratulate you on your name, it suits you just fine :icon_lol: ;)

BTW, Sweden is GMT+1, so we're five hours ahead. Swedish DST starts on the last sunday in march at 2:00 (25th for 2007), at which point we're six hours ahead again.

So Saturday the 24th 3PM EDT is 20:00 in Sweden but on Sunday the 25th 3PM EDT is 21:00 in Sweden.

              Re: Time ???

Would I be correct in saying that people in the EDT timezone frequently refer to it as EST?

                Re: Time ???

                Yes.

EST = Easter Standard Time (Winter)

EDT = Eastern Daylight Time (Spring, Summer, Fall)

... though many just use "EST"

GMT - Means Greenwich Mean Time

The United Kingdom (UK) switches to British Summer Time (BST) +1 - Yesterday
