  • Looking for the name of a song.

I was slumming around in the myspace vid section
When I came across a halarious soccer commercial.
But the commercial got me hooked and the music in the background reeled me in. I love any type of guitar music but especially a slow, I guess it's a Bolero, guitar song.

    Well here is the link.

If anyone knows the name of the song I would appreciate it

Barrera Productions did this commercial for France Telecom.

I think the score was made for the commercial.

I found the song still looking for the same band.
The song is called Viente Anos or twenty years in English.

Well I drug this thread up due to the fact I got both the song and band figured out.

The band is a group of Cuban Musicians called Buena Vista Social Club and they song they play is Veinte Anos.

Both BVSC's self-titled first album and their follow-up, Hecho en Cuba, are outstanding. Several of the band members made solo albums as well. Eliades Ochoa, Ibrahim Ferrer and Ruben Gonalez all made albums that are excellent in their own right, while Compay Segundo's album lacks fire and originality, overall.

Having listened to Afro-Cuban music, especially traditional Son and acoustic Barrio tunes for 20+ years, I can say these guys (several of whom have passed away now) represent the golden age of Cuba's Havana music scene, and a musical treasure that was captured before it faded away. I highly recommend these albums.
