  • Sir. Community - Tactical Gamer, project proposal, please read!

Hey there. just a thought, i was thinking about the film project currently underway, and thought it may be a good idea if Sir and TG took part in some sort of joint project.

EDIT: this would be on BF2 and/or BF2142

Ive proposed the idea to Sir. and it seems like their thinking its a very viable idea.
A member there, Sir. AAK625, whos also a leader, has told me he knows some TG leaders very well, which is great, we just need to get the "ball" rolling as it were.

I posted a topic covering this into the sir main forum here

    http://sircommunity.com/forums/showt...ed=1#post23822

Obviously i cant personally speak for TG members, but its an idea..

The main plan is to produce a video project with the guys in our neibouring community, because as many of you will know they specialise in media related stuff.
    Their ace at movies :P

I think it would be a great idea, but to be honest it needs to be started somewhere, so i need peoples backing and suggestions for what we could do in the movie...
preferably you should post in the above sir forum link, but it may be helpful to suggest ideas here too.. i look forward to hearing your ideas, and hopefully starting a

    Tell me what you think.

We approached the Sir. Community in the past for a video project. Unfortunately the project never made it to fruition. If they are interested in trying again I'd be happy to speak with them. Go ahead and point them my way.

How about we make a custom map with no vehicles, such as on the surface of the moon.

We can battle it out in a crater king of the hill style.

            1000 tickets on each side.

Is there a way to alter bf2's "gravity?"

            We can film that.

Huh? I think you got the worng idea. The Sir community is a good teamwork clan and come around here from time to time. I think if they made any movie. It go along them lines just like most TG'ers would like to make.

It would be great if the sir guys would be up for this. Any project with TG should definitely have something to do with the TG primer imo.

Re: Sir. Community - Tactical Gamer, project proposal, please read!

Im currently discussing the concept with the sir guys, debating weather it will go ahead at the moment.

My plan is to create a film along the lines of previous Sir. classics, so that we get laughs and fun out of the experience.

they faced me with the question "what have we got to gain from it" and i told them, we want to have some fun.

I hope people hold my view also. At the moment, we are discussing its viability, but if it does go into production ill need some comical, fun ideas, with team based values incorporated.

there is a way to change the gravity on bf2, using sandbox is the easiest, but im not sure this would be an entertaining idea at the moment, come up with a more full proposal and post it here.

Any other ideas can be posted, and id like to know who would be interested in helping.

if any well known tgers would like to step forward to help me plan and negotiate, please pm me and we'll see. I need a list written up and regularly updated of people willing to help out. if theres a lot of people i cant garuntee your place if it goes ahead, but for now we'll see.

                    thanks

Re: Sir. Community - Tactical Gamer, project proposal, please read!

I remember playing Suez Canal during Euro hours one day. Silver tells the squad to get some buggies. I jump into Silver's buggy on the west side of the bridge and another US player gets into a buggy on the east side of the bridge. We both start driving over the bridge at the same time... except the US player drives on the right side of the road and Silver, with his silly British driving experiences, drives on the left side of the road. Since we drove toward each other, we promptly crash into each other in a fiery ball of hilarity.

Is that good enough for a starting idea? Since the Sir guys are British and most of us aren't and all....

I think this is an excellent idea. Everyone always thinks "funny video" first, but what about funny and educational/inspirational?

I'm imagining a series of shorts comparing gameplay on "Pwnz0rZ' L337 $rVr" vs. Tactigamer. Several different situations would be contrasted like chapters or Letterman's Top Ten: How to cap a flag, how to lead a squad, when to defend, What to do with [enter a vehicle here].

We could all wear tags with dumbass names for the "Pub way" videos, with goofy banjo music playing in the background or something. Better yet, get actual in-game footage of usual pub idiocy. Then we take the same situation and do it the TG Way.

All kinds of alternate ways to go on this theme--"Why I love TG", "You might be an asshat if...", "How many pubbers does it take to...", etc.

I don't know if I could be personally involved in the logistics, but I can certainly be one of the "playwrights" for it, or come up with ideas.

Whatever it is, let's not put yet another silly vid out into the world. Let's inspire!
