  • Pink Floyd keyboard player and founding member Richard Wright dies.

Very sad news indeed. Pink Floyd is and has been my favourite band for over 35 years. The best ever.
I have spent far too many hours and copies of many of their albums. He will be missed.
Stories found at the following links:

Oh man! That really stinks! He was one of the primary elements of Floyd and will be missed. His music was truly evolutionary and straight awesome. There's nothing quite like chilling out at the end of a long party while jamming out to Pink Floyd.

And then one day you find ten years have got behind you.
No one told you when to run, you missed the starting gun.

So you run and you run to catch up with the sun but it's sinking
Racing around to come up behind you again.
The sun is the same in a relative way but you're older,
Shorter of breath and one day closer to death.

There aren't many truer words spoken I think. Today marks the end of an era. Or did it end in 84? Sad to see him go none the less.

            R.I.P. Richard.

He was one of the pioneers of the analog electronic synth sound.

His experiments with analog synths had a major influence on the synth-based music we hear today.
