  • E-Male on YouTube

Not sure what the title of this thread ('E-Male on YouTube) says about the state of language but...

Check out the following video I made with the help of one of my classes at the University of Ottawa.

I give you a 10/10, buddy. You're one of the ones that the students love to remember, and tell their kids about. YOU DA MAN!

I had one prof who would reduce your grade for the entire term by one letter if your cell phone went off during a lecture.

ps I want to hear more of the lecture...

As much as I've disagreed with you in past sandbox discussions, you actually seem like a pretty cool prof. You are obviously one of the educators that students will remember forever. Thanks for sharing the vid! Good stuff. :D

            Word.

Nice video E-Male. Ever played ArmA in front of your class using this projector? You should think about doing a lecture on it.

              That was excellent. :)

Reminds me of a Catholic priest from high school who used to snap pencils if he ever saw one and who told us to stay in our seats even if a bomb went off next to the windows.

I wish my professors had smashed stuff. Why was this made? (And to be sure, this was staged, no?)

                              Re: E-Male on YouTube

I lecture on the subject of new media, YouTube and so forth, at the University of Ottawa. I saw a video of a French professor smashing some guy's laptop (it was an April Fools joke pulled on the class). So I suggested to one of my classes that we make a fake 'Angry Prof' video.

Now I am looking for other stuff to smash in class...

Also, as to the 'why' -- I have been studying and writing about online behaviour from what is called the auto-ethnographic approach, which involves fully experiencing the thing that is studied and incorporating ones own experience into the subject of analysis. So I try to experience many aspects of the Internet (within the law...), such as blogging, making vids, online gaming, web development, online publishing, and so forth.

                              Be the ball, Danny.
