hmmm interesting, could turn out to be a great partnership, on the other hand it could ruin them.

Still, nice to see Bethesda expanding, more fallout and elder scrolls plz :D

Yea no kidding. I am kind of surprised they did not fix that in a quick patch. I think Doom has a lot of potential directions they could go with it. I could see anything from another normal FPS to a Coop FPS L4D styled to a more RPG oriented game much like Fallout 3 or even a survival horror slow paced game too. Sky is the limit IMO.

Personally I prefer the buddy coop games and I hope to see more companies build off the success of L4D style of play.

Don't you mean Fallout 3 sucked? The first two were great games, but Bethesda ****** it all up.

Bethesda did amazing things with Fallout 3, get out of the 90's. :0

                  I liked Fallout 2 better than FO1. I loved FO3.

I can't believe ID was bought. But Quake 4 and Doom 3 haven't sold as well as they thought. I understand why it would be best to merge.

For the Fallout thing, Fallout 2 is the best in the series but there had to be a sequel. 3 fit the job perfectly, combining everything in the Fallout universe into a FPS/Third person perspective. I hope to see a true Fallout game from Bethesda, turn-based and 2-D.

Yeah! just because they did a tired re-hash of the same story and didn't create any new characters, monsters, or factions doesn't mean fallout III wasn't a great contribution to the series! Power armor that is actually worth wearing is so 1997.
