  • Darkest Hour - Most realistic WW2 FPS ever.

If any of you have Red Orchestra, I suggest you check out Darkest Hour. It's like the Project Reality of Red Orchestra. It's set in the period of 1944-1945 on the Western Front, so some of the maps like 'Carentan', and 'Ramelle' will remind you of Band of Brothers and Saving Private Ryan. It's extremely fun, and it has lots of tactical qualities.

Though I'm a fan of both RO and DH, calling it the "Project Reality" of Red Orchestra is an overstatement. There is no real squad/organization system, the graphics are low quality (though that doesn't retract from gameplay), and the infantry maps are still small (as well as a little spammy).

Don't get me wrong, it's a great game! But the tactical/teamwork aspect that is found in PR (and other bf games) cannot be found in RO/DH.
