Re: Seeing is no longer believing

Yeah, I read about this in a magazine. There's definitely a reason Photoshop is hundreds of dollars. :)

      $1200+ actually

If it was $500 retail, I'd find a way to afford it through my business, even if it would be more a toy than income-generator. At least gimp works well enough for me and my needs.

Re: Seeing is no longer believing

The problem with gimp is finding out about all the cool addons out there. Heck, i still have stock filters.

Re: Seeing is no longer believing

The Photoshop tool seems to work a little better than the GIMP one but considering the GIMP one is a few years old and free... yeah.

I use to work for these guys back during pshop 3-7 and it was amazing watching the developers then do the amazing tools to really make this possible. These guys are truly genius.

Freaking awesome! I use CS for work, but it looks like purchasing an upgrade is DEFINITELY a worthy tax deductible expense. ;)

You mean it can't figure out whats under there? I think the developers should be ashamed of themselves and get to work on this now!

Hilarious but so very true. Practically most of the industry professionals teaching at DePaul also used downloaded versions of the software.

Obviously, no where nearly as expensive as Maya or 3DS Max ($3,500 each).

The newer autofill tools have been blogged about in the past. I rather like how easy they make photo manipulation now. I would even say it's gotten to the point where my parents to fix and touch up a photo in Photoshop CS5 without me (once I give them detailed instructions).
