  • Rules and usage of Tactical Gamer?

Been a visitor to tactical gamer... but with my current group of multiplayer buddies addicted to the EQ2 and WoW fantasy land... I'm looking to connect up with others in online squad tactical games...

Was wondering if there were set rules and administration procedures for gaming with Tactical Gamer members? Like a set amount of time to be dedicated, what the current hot games are and who and how is the multiplayer action set up or organized. Is it pretty much whoever shows up or is there an organized squad/platoon with designated roles etc ect...

Just pretty much looking for more information on Tactical Gamer and it's procedures for gameplay and action. I know theres alot of members on the members list... but how many actually play together here.

Thx in advance for your time.

I don't believe there are the type of requirements you speak of. We don't require a certain amount of time, skill, etc. If you can play mature, objective based, team oriented gaming, then you are more than welcome here.

The more you play and the more activity you have in the forums will get you recognized by the rest of the community.

As a general player, you have access to the forums, public servers, etc. As a supporting member you gain access to private servers, reserved slots, members-only forum groups, TG downloads, etc.

That's the reader's digest version at least.

Check out our list of supported games and what servers we have. BF2 is pretty hot right now. Jump on the server and say hello. Also, please check out the TG rules & announcements forum group and the specific game rules & announcement groups.

The Counter Strike: Source and Battlefield 2 Demo servers have a number of players throughout the day, but enjoy the most TG members in the after work hours. The Natural Selection server doesn't have much traffic until the after work hours.
I cant speak for the other servers.

If you are interested in a game check the game specific forum, read the server rules, and check to see if there is any scheduled play time (if the server is not regularly full). Then join up and have fun.

There is nothing set in stone. We have:

2 dedicated servers for CounterStrike Source
          1 server for the BF2 Demo/BF2
          2 Ghost Recon Servers
          1 Neverwinter Nights Server.

All these are on available first come basis, with a preference for community members.

There are a bunch of offline servers (SWAT4, Joint Ops, OFP, etc.) that can be brought back on line by request.

There is also a community server that as just about anything recent you can think of playing that is also available by request.

If you want to arrange a game, go the the game specific forums, and post. You are sure to get some interest, even for older games. For example, we are arranging LOMAC and Falcon 4 sorties as we speak.

There are SOPs and Procedures on every game forum. There are also general guidlines in the FAQs.

The number of active community members that are available for online play varies, but right now, it seems like there are about 40 or so ready to kill each other online any day, and probably another 30 that can be PMed at short notice.
