  • HDD partition advice

Well since Windows SP pack #2 failed to install and I figure 130 GB is enough I got my new HDD working.

    I currently have:

-20GB 5400rpm drive with O/S on it and little else
-160GB 7200rpm drive with 130GB useable partioned as:
-30GB drive for photo related stuff
    -100GB drive for everything else

I was wondering if there would be any advantage in making a small partition in the 5GB range and making a page file out of it. Or if there are any suggestions on how to set up the drives for better performance. Keeping in mind I really do not want to re-install windows.

From the reading I've done, it seems there isn't a large benefit of having a separate partition for just the page file, other than it cuts down on the fragmentation of that partition. I don't think this is a major deal if you keep your pagefile set to a static amount.
