Re: Buying a new PC prebuilt

only thing i would switch on the system are, Maybe run a quad core instead of a dual core and maybe add a second 500 gig or bigger storage drive as you can fill up a 500 gig fairly quickly. The rest looks alright for the most part. You can always add ram if need be down the road.

Wouldn't you want an SSD if you're playing ARMA? I would keep the 500GB but just add an SSD as your primary drive.

Re: Buying a new PC prebuilt

Go for at least a Athlon II X4. Preferrably, a Phenom II X4 would be best. I'd probably upgrade to a GTX 460 as well instead of the GTX 430.

        Otherwise the rest looks good.

Thanks for the tips guys, Ive been thinkin about SSD drive, I may just get a smaller, 60-80 gig, SSD for the main drive.

For the price it seems decent, £350 btw

Yea if your not piling tons of stuff on, then a small SSD would fit PR/Arma as well as your general startup stuff.

It looks good for the price but a 460 graphics card & quad core would allow the extra nice graphics settings.

Edit, nevermind acreo beat me to it, do what he said :)

Re: Buying a new PC prebuilt

I agree with the budget sound card/better video card comments above. I'd also consider a different brand of RAM if it is available. OCZ doesn't have the best reputation in that department.

Re: Buying a new PC prebuilt

OCZ is out of the memory business now, anyway. Their going to continue focus on SSD's now.

Could I ask where you are ordering it from? I've also been browsing around for a new PC almost solely for ArmA2. I was thinking about building one myself, but having it pre-built would be nice. Thanks.

Make sure that the 500W PSU is up to your needs. Don't know if a 650 wouldn't be better.
