  • Video card upgrade??

I want to install a new graphics card for Battlefield 3 but I can't decide which one to get. My computer is about 2 years old, so I don't want anything too fancy that will create a bottleneck. Currently I have an EVGA GTX260 graphics card, an EVGA nForce 750i SLI mobo, 4GB RAM, and a Q8300 quad at 2.5 GHZ.

I had my eye on this: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16814130579. What is your recommendation?

The card you linked to is worse than your current card.

In order to get a significant upgrade from what you currently have you'd need a budget of about $200 for a gtx560ti or 6950.

This is from another thread where the question about GFX cards came up as well. I have the same GFX card as the OP and from what I could tell on my system the biggest bottleneck for performance was actually CPU related. Unless of course you are looking to play on Ultra settings.

Ah, I didn't notice it was a GT, not a GTX. In that case I'll save up a little scratch and get this instead: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...6814130570#top

I was worried about this. I only want to spend a little money until I can upgrade everything to an all round better PC.
