  • PC Prescriptions: 21 Free Apps to Keep Your PC Healthy

MaximumPC just posted this article and it is worth a look by everyone. It has most of the usual like CCleaner, but a few I hadn't heard of and plan to give a try.

With BF3 just out, I'm sure everyone is trying to tidy up their PCs, and that article should help out.
I'm on the fence right now about doing a fresh install this weekend, and a few of those backup programs might come in handy.

I highly recommend Disk Space Fan and Revo Uninstaller. I've used both countless times. Revo works great on those stubborn programs which refuse to uninstall from XP machines.

I recommend installing System Information for Windows on a thumb drive. You can plug it into any pc with a usb and then you are able to see every little detail most people would need. I like it because it even shows all the sensor information and the voltage and wattage, plus the wear of your laptop battery...
