  • Recording Sound Levels Gone Bad -- HELP!

    Greetings,

For reasons unknown, FRAPS now records ALL sound captured by my headset all the time -- as if I had teamspeak set to Continuous Transmission.

TS is set to Push-to-talk, yet FRAPS is recording sounds from my room even when I do NOT have the record hotkey pressed.

    My FRAPS settings are:

    Record Win7 Sound
    Record External Input

At the same time as this problem surfaced, my mic level, relative to other recorded voices, has dropped to quite low and I have been unable to get my mic level the same as incoming voices in my recordings.

All very odd and quite annoying.

I have checked my TS options, my Windows SOUND controls, and my Fraps options and see no fix.

    Any suggestions?

What changed? Windows updates, drivers, fraps auto update?

Wish I knew. There where Windows updates but did they occur before the changes -- I cannot say.

No driver updates -- that I can recall.

      Sigh -- I am old.
