  • Please help with XP question

    i am a newb with XP..i need to clear the i-net cache out..but selectively..in win98 it was in the c:\windows\internt folder i believe...had cookies all kinds of stuff..

    but i cannot find it now that i have XP...

    i know this is stupid..but where in the hell is it?

    please someone help a birdie out please?

    Well, there's some stuff here:

    C:\Documents and Settings\[your name]\Local Settings, but you'd probably be better off just doing it from within IE (Tools/Internet Option).

    3) Support game play in a near-simulation environment. Where the focus of play would not be solely on doing what it takes to win, but doing so utilizing real-world combat strategy and tactics rather than leveraging exploits provided to players by the design of the game engine.

      Go to my computer.

      Click to documents & settings

      Click on your documents (there will be another that says all users)

      Go to local settings

      You should see History, Temp, and Temp Internet folders there.

      Go into each folder and delete it all.

      You may want to look into Crap Cleaner as a more automated option.

        go to start menu, run, type temp in and it will bring it up....


        new to xp you should have just waited and gotten longhorn.....
        that sounds like a good idea trooper.

          i have kind of "been away" for a while..my box until now, was a win98SE box...

          XP seems like a complete PIG..and i thought win98SE was jacked up..!

          uh...what is "longhorn"..? i am pathetic aren't i..?
