Anybody know anything about the quality of their products?
    Reason being that This:
    http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16814150106
is screaming buy me, but I've never had an XfX, so i don't know if it's another PNY.

6800GT for the price of the average 6600GT seems almost too good to be true.

I have the eVGA 6800gt and i can say that most gt's that i have seen have 256 mb's of video ram, that is probably a bargain one.

Yeah, I had noticed that upon looking into it further. Was also used to looking at the 6600GT's (which are only 128MB) so I didn't notice the non 256 right away. I'll have to dig a bit to see if the 128 6800GT performs better than it's similarily priced 128 6600GT counterparts. Differences I see hardware wise (based on XfX's spec sheets):

        6600GT:
        Core 500mhz
        memory 1000kmhz
        128-bit memory
        32GB/sec bandwidth
        5.6 billion texels/sec fill rate
        525 million vertices per second

        6800GT:
        core 350mhz
        memory 700mhz
        256-bit memory
        22.4GB/sec bandwidth
        3.9 Billion texels/sec fill rate
        406 million vertices per second

Deffinantly looking like it's not worth it now.

XFX are pretty crappy imo. That's brand you get at walmart or other department stores. Very cheaply made cards.

I saw the specs you posted

my core is 375, but memory interface is 256 bit memeory is 1000mgz my card seems to fly, look at the EVGA, it is a rock solid card that i've never had any problems with

i run bf2 1280x960 everything on high except i leave lighting on medium

CSS 1280x1024 everything on highest 6xaa 16x aliasing

Yeah, What it looks like is that this is really a 6800GT acting like a 6800 vanilla with 128MB ram over 256. Probably aimed at lowering the price for wal-mart or some such.
I'll probably end up going with a gigabyte or an evga 6600GT later this month sometime.

                Re: XFX video cards

Thats a 6800 not a 6800GT. I would get a good 6600GT over a 6800 from XFX any day. look at customer reviews on newegg and other places like it. XFX has crappy products and crappy support for said crappy products. If your looking for a good 6600GT, i reccomend Leadtek or BFG both have great reviews and pretty good prices last time I checked.
