  • Battlefield 3 Crashing

I need some help fellas. Up until last week, Battlefield 3 has been crashing out on me. I have done everything that I can do. I replaced my 2 SLI GeForce 250's with a single GeForce 650ti, deleted ALL the old drivers and reinstalled the latest and greatest...twice. But I still keep crashing in the loading screen and this message.

Here are some of my system specs.

Plus, 6 MB DDR3 Ram and the 650ti.

Does anyone know what is causing this issue?

    Try this

Go to your BF3 install/installer folder and reinstall direct X. The .exe file is in that folder.

I was trying to help Dirt with this a bit and admit I'm stumped. I google searched it a bit and we tried some solutions found in the MOH warfighter forums to no avail.

        Dirtboy,

Can you please uninstall your drivers using this guide http://www.overclock.net/t/1150443/h...ia-gpu-drivers

Once your back up and running, do some of these things

-disable origin running in the background via origin settings
-disable origin auto saving to the network via origin settings
-if you have fraps/teamviewer running, disable them.
-re run the DX setup again after installing drivers
-go into a game and change the settings to a lower setting, quit game, then go back into NVIDIA Experience and set the optimal settings for the game and restart.
-if your GPU is currently being overclocked manually by you, reset it to stock clocks

I was having this issue very recently with my SLI 680's and this is what i did. I would say with 90% certainty that the driver was the issue in my case causing this, since i followed that guide i linked, i have had 0 issues since, other than unstable overclocks:)

There are probably some old registry keys left from when you had sli running that is causing some funky things to happen with the drivers.

        Fingers crossed.

Did you run Origin and BF3 with administrator privileges?

            Re: Battlefield 3 Crashing

Didn't you hear, BF4 is on the horizon. It's time for the strange and odd unfixable and unstable issues to pop up. It's time for ea to kill bf3.

Just joking........sortof, does anybody remember the 2142 issues that made it unplayable right before bc2?

Hope you get it fixed. If you do, please post the fix. I have started having similar problems. I haven't changed anything in the system or settings. Sometimes I can play.

              That worked perfectly Bolagnaise!

I did all the steps up until having Origin on in the background and I was still getting the same error. But once I turned it off, it worked swimmingly!

That's a forum bug associated with a login that doesn't authenticate/fails properly, I see it on tapatalk mostly.

                    That's awesome Dirtboy.
