      Re: PCI-E Video Card Upgrade

I use an x300 now on mine, and I think i'm going to stick with ATI when I upgrade. The x1800's look nice, but those are around 400. The x800 has gotten great reviews for a gaming card, but I don't know the price off the top of my head.

I'm guessing that the card is for mostly BF2, and mine has run fine playing it, well, on low to med specs. nVidia's give certian users issues when playing BF2 so i'm hesitant to swich to that brand. Stick with what you know works for your system.

        Re: PCI-E Video Card Upgrade

Yes, this card is mainly for BF2, but also for CoD2 and games to come

I currently run bf2 on low/medium settings, 2x AA, at 1024x760, with decent performance (30fps according to the game)

Obviously i would like to run it at max, but would be happy with medium/high with more AA and maybe a higher res

Another note: i am interested in the geforces becuase of their SLI support, becuase i will be able to buy another one later to upgrade for cheaper than buying a whole new one

I continue to sing the praises of the Sapphire X800 GTO^2, which with ATITool and a simple BIOS flash becomes a full-blown X850 for a mere $200 US
