  • Windows Boot Problem

Hey guys. I just got home from being out of town for a few days(thus no activity w/my PC). When I first turned it on, my PC would get to the windows logo screen, then shut down and restart itself. After many self restarts, I decided to physically power it down, then turn it back on after 30 secs. That seemed to do the trick, but when I loaded to the desktop I got several "recovered from serious error" msgs. I tried to report them but found only that they were "stop" errors, and MS has no solutions for it (of course). PC seems stable as I'm using it right now, but what would cause it to resart itself on the 1st try after a few days of non-use? Just curious, thnx.

Overheating issue, dust settling on the heatsinks and whatnot might do it.
