everything from PSP to GPS to DS to PDA have all had a few annoying Dead Pixles.. was wondering if there are any on LCD monitors (any more than normal) and if so.. how noticable they are.... also.. what causes it????

      Re: LCD/Dead Pixel

Each pixel on most LCD monitors is controlled by an individual transistor. If the Transistor for a pixel becomes shorted out, it becomes dead. It can be dead by being permanantly lit, or permantly dark, just depends if it gets shorted to provide or deprive current from the pixel square! In my experience, sony lcd monitors tend to have the fewest dead pixels. check when you get the thing, if there is a dead pixel or two, return it.
