  • Removing the Boot Menu

You know the boot menu that Vista places into your PC when its installed to boot between XP and Vista? I would like to find a way to remove it, since I never use Vista Beta 2 anymore.

    Would something like this work--

Right click My Computer --> Advanced Tab --> Startup and Recovery settings --> Setting Time to display list of Operating Systems to "0"

Or you can modify the boot.ini (but I'm not sure if Vista makes away with boot.ini).

Backup up your boot.ini and remove the Vista entry. If this works, then you can just delete your Vista partition.

If not then boot to your XP CD, on the first menu press r (for recovery console or something), select your XP installation, enter your admin password if you have one, then do fixmbr. It may be slightly different from that, I'm doing it from memory.
