I believe you should look for a new Powersupply witha more reputable name, when it comes to a powerfull Video card CPU combo power becomes a big factor, and just because it says 500W doesnt mean u'll be getting the AMP's you need.

And if your gonna go SLi in the future try to get a mobo with the nForce 590 chipset, it'll allow two 16x PCIe cards at the same time.

The rest of the rig looks great, But for SLi i still recommend a nforce 590 board...

P.S. Looks like nVidia is releasing the G80 chips soon, meaning Geforce 8800 will come out, droping prices and allowing for DX10... I'd wait a month if I were u, you could have a GPU 3x's better then for the same price.

You can also stick with the evga card and perform a step-up when the DX10 cards come out. They're expensive though. The lower end 8800 GTS is probably going to be $500. Plus, they're power hungry. I wanted to step-up to one if I could but I might wait until the next revision or a cheaper mid-range DX10 card.

                I'd go for a Core 2 Duo over the Athlon 64 X2

AMD's cpu's are great. but you can drop a Pentium Quatro into a Pentium Duo slot. So you can buy a Duo now, and upgrade to a Quatro later when all the kinks are worked out with those. I don't know if you'll be able to drop in a proc with the AMD 64X2 chipset.

Why wouldn't you the Creative X-Fi if you're getting all of that other stuff? When the card does work it's awesome.

With the X-Fi cards, I'd recommend some nicer speakers than the usual sub $100 5.1/7.1 speakers. Otherwise you won't notice much of a audio difference.

And good picks on the eVGA gfx board and the Tt PSU. My Tt has never once failed me, overall great PSU.

                              And wow, nice Acer.

Looks like a great rig that'll last a good 4 years and allow you to upgrade as necessary to keep up with the new games as well as playing on max settings.
