  • Videos not playing

Title says it all. I just downloaded some back episodes of BSG, and wanted to get caught up. Well they wont play, i have audio, but no video. I just recently updated my Graphics driver and kind of think its that. Ive already gone thru and updated my codec and player drivers. All the videos worked yesterday before i updated, am i missing something?

Try VLC, that supports lots of codecs.

Im not sure what the codec is, im guessing is divx. I downloaded the newest version of VLC and nothing.

I tried to play other videos on my pc, like my red vs blue and got nothing as well only audio.

Try mplayer, it is a command line program.

                  Re: Videos not playing

Well, I've had great luck using WinAmp for my videos. Also, BSplayer is a really good one. As far as codecs, I installed the new DivX codecs and it made my videos stop playing too, so that may be your problem. I had to uninstall divx and re-install my old stuff. Look for the "Combined Community Codec Pack." It's one nice and tidy file and it has everything you'd ever need. If you want, PM me your e-mail address and I'll e-mail you the file.

Yeah, look for a codec pack like CCCP or K-Lite.

Check your video driver's overlay color correction/gamma or try a different rendering mode.
