Grab it while it's hot... let's hope it's stable (Crosses fingers)

I installed those hoping to see some improvements in performance but I can't see any. My 3DMark06 score increased by about 80 to 10496--well within the margin of error. Running the performance test under Company of Heroes showed no change.

      Re: New Nvidia Forceware today

Here is some interesting info from the release notes:

Windows Vista now controls the allocation of system memory to the GPU for
TurboCache functions. The Windows Vista Display Properties pages show
the shared system memory (SSM), or how much memory is allocated for
NVIDIA GPUs to use for TurboCache.
The current driver allows a maximum amount of shared system memory for
      each NVIDIA GPU as follows:
GeForce 6 series: Maximum of 495 MB* where the system memory is 2 GB
      and higher
GeForce 7 series: Maximum of 495 MB* where the system memory is 2 GB
      and higher
GeForce 8 series: Maximum of 767 MB* where the system memory is 2 GB
      and higher

      * The actual shared system memory allocation is unique on every PC due to
SBIOS reserve memory allocation, which is not controlled by the GPU or
      GPU drivers.

These are the same drivers that were out last week.... Why did they change the date from the 17th to the 26th?

These are WHQL signed. I think the only other difference is that these allow you to adjust fan speeds.

Yah, the drivers are the same. dunno why the date change, and I thought the last forceware was also WHQL anyways. Kinda weird.

The 64 bit version last week was pretty decent. I am now able to use SLI and overclocking again. I have however noticed I had a couple memory dumps take place, something I have not seen on my machines in years. They have happend twice since I installed the drivers, but it is a decent trade off for having my performace back..
